James Gordon Keane, 81, of Gilbert, AZ, died on May 23, 2015. Born on December 3, 1933, James is survived by his wife of 52 years, Melita Keane, whom he met in Germany; his daughter, Michelle Linden; and his grandson, Blake Linden. James served in the United States Marine Corps and worked as an Electronics Engineer with Lockheed Martin. He had top secret clearance and worked on aircrafts such as the F-104, U2, and SR-71. Felix Irwin St. John Obituary

  F. Irwin (Irv) (Coach) St. John, May 23, 1932 – May 25, 2015, passed away this past Memorial Day. He is survived by the love of his life of 60 years, Patricia Moore St. John; his sister, Dr. Mary K. St. John; and his three daughters and their families, Mary Jean & Gary Schraufnagel, Judith & Miles Potter, and Susan & Doug Moe; his 5 grandchildren, Ty & Hayley Schraufnagel, Blake & Arianne Schraufnagel, Jessica Moe, Daniel Moe & Kendall Potter; and his great grandsons, Noah & Aidan Schraufnagel. Irv and Pat were high school sweethearts from Bemidji, MN.  After Bemidji State University, Irv served in the army at the end of the Korean War.  Irv and Pat started their family in Warren, MN and lived most of their working lives in Duluth, MN.  Irv taught and coached basketball at Baudette, MN, Warren, MN and finished his coaching career in Duluth, MN at East High School where he was a 6-time conference champion, took 4 teams to the state tournament and ended up with an overall record of 364-132 as a head coach.  He had a passion for mentoring his students and athletes and kept in touch with many after their playing days.  He finished his career there as Athletic Director and started the soccer program.  Irv was a competitor all his life and is in the Bemidji State Athletic Hall of Fame, Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the NSIC Hall of Fame. Irv and Pat retired and enjoyed summers in Duluth, MN and winters in Mesa, AZ at the Apache Wells Community where he loved to golf, play billiards and go dancing with his sweetheart, Pat.  His faith and church communities were very important to him and were the foundation for his positive outlook on life and his great spirit, which will be greatly missed. A service will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 1pm at Apache Wells Community Church at 2115 N Gayridge Rd, Mesa, AZ  85215 and on Saturday June 6, at 1pm at First United Methodist Church at 230 E Skyline Parkway, Duluth, MN  55811 In lieu of flowers, two memorials have been established:  Sunshine Acres Children’s Home http://sunshineacres.org/ways-to-give-m/donate.  Also, Duluth East High School Foundation  http://www.dulutheastfoundation.org/greyhoundsgive/index.shtml. Riley Richards Smith Obituary

Riley Richards Smith passed away at his home on Friday, May 8, 2015. Riley was born January 8, 1986 in Provo, Utah to Rex Smith and Laura Rizzuto. He grew up in Orem, Utah playing Little League baseball and excelling in his gifted classes with Mr. Lee. Riley moved with his family to Tucson, AZ in the summer of 2001 and attended Ironwood Ridge High School, graduating in 2004. He loved music, playing several instruments. He was especially talented on the guitar and vocals and enjoyed composing. Riley met his sweetheart Alexis Layne Roussel in the Fall of 2007 and they were married in the LDS Mesa Temple on June 21, 2008. Together they had a beautiful son, Owen Graham, whose twinkling blue eyes and sweet inquisitive mind, so much like his father’s, will forever keep Riley’s memory alive. Alexis was a dedicated wife who helped Riley through many stages of their life together. Riley had a brilliant mind and a hunger for continued learning. He earned several coveted technical certifications and held jobs with companies like Go Daddy, Expedia and Citrix Systems focusing on Network Security with an emphasis on developing the cloud. His passion was in architectural design and he loved the leadership roles which he held. Riley had a great love of nature and spent many happy hours hiking in the mountains behind his home. He loved his son more than anything and tried to be the best daddy he could be. He was truly loved by his family and friends and we will miss his smile and his presence in the years to come. Riley is survived by his wife, Alexis Layne Smith; his young son, Owen Graham Smith; his parents, Laura & Ken Rizzuto; his father, Rex Smith; his sister, Chelsey Wilson; step-brothers, Micah, Jason, & Trevor Rizzuto; step-sister Natalie R Bolen; grandparents, Tom & Phyllis Alexander, Lorna K Banfield, Betty Brewer and Ted Wood; as well as several brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Morning Sun Ward, 33794 N. Gary Rd., Queen Creek, AZ 85142. Family will greet visitors at 9:30am, followed by a memorial service at the same location at 10:30. Burial will follow at San Tan Memorial Gardens, 22425 E. Cloud Rd., Queen Creek, AZ 85142.
