Anthony LaSpina, 94, of Queen Creek, Arizona, since 2006, and previously of Chandler, Arizona, since 1972, passed away on November 17, 2015. “Tony” was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, on October 8, 1921. He moved his family to Phoenix in 1954, where Tony began his career as a Sheet Metal Specialist at AiResearch Mfg. Co., later known as Allied-Signal, and then Honeywell Aerospace. He retired from Allied-Signal in 1986. Tony is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Frances. He is survived by his son, Anthony (Pamela) LaSpina, daughter, Annette LaSpina, daughter, Cecelia (Frank) Bishop, and son, Michael (Christina) LaSpina, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Tony’s passion was gardening, and he was like a Doctor Doolittle with all of his pets. Tony will be sorely missed by his family and all who loved him.

A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015 at San Tan Mountain View Funeral home, located at 21809 S. Ellsworth Road in Queen Creek. The funeral mass will be on Tuesday, 11/24 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 20615 E Ocotillo Rd, Queen Creek, with a burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 E Baseline Rd, Mesa. The family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley at www.hov.org/donate, or (602) 530-6900, in lieu of flowers.
