Tony was a “good man” – was the note I received yesterday from a dear friend.

My dad was a good husband to my mom, June, for 42 years, and a wonderful father to Ron, Randy and myself (Tiffany). He was a grandfather to Mindy, Melissa, Logan & Luke, and a great grandfather to Joseph Anthony. He loved his family with all his heart and was always there for us when we needed him most. My dad has joined his mom, Grace; dad, Michael; and sister, Diane in Heaven and is survived by his younger brother John DeMato.

My dad was a Vietnam Veteran; his life long career was with the Rock Island Railroad where he made many dear friends throughout the years. He had a love for cooking and was his own worst critic. Some of the things he truly enjoyed in life were baseball, the races, only the best food, cars when he was young, a motorcycle in his mid-years and, later in life, horses. The one he loved the most … was my mom.

My dad was a humble man and we will miss him dearly.

Services will take place on Friday, April 19 at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home, located at 21809 S. Ellsworth Rd. in Queen Creek. Family will greet friends for a visitation at 9:30am, followed by a memorial service at 10:30am.
