Our Mom, MaMa, Ma and Grandma,
Carolyn (Carol) Ann McMahan Eckert received her angel wings on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 8:44 a.m. after an extended illness, in Mesa, AZ with her children at her side, and where she also resided with four of her children, several grandchildren and great grand children.

Carolyn was a courageous, strong and compassionate woman born in Alliance, Ohio on December 29, 1937 to Charles Ira Sr., and Idella Mae Hartzell McMahan. She lived in Alliance until 2000, when she then moved to Mesa, AZ.

She worked at Jerry’s Tavern and Drive-thru for several years as Lead Cashier and Front Counter Manager. She went on to be an Industrial Seamstress at Coastal Pet Products of Alliance until retiring, where she designed, sewed and crafted various leather products.

When moving to AZ, she continued her passion of caregiving and assisting others in need by taking neighbors and friends of neighbors to doctor appointments, grocery runs and on other occasions joyful rides to thrift stores and causal shopping.

She enjoyed traveling and loved to hop in her car, at any given time, and head down the highway to wherever her children were residing, while listening to her favorite country hits and on other occasions riding across country with her son Donald who was a truck driver. She was able to visit many states of the U.S. as well as Germany and Hawaii where she would visit her Military Children, Thomas McMahan & Marie, Retired Army and Daughter Nancy and Gary Kidder, Jr., Retired Army.
