Irene W. Gorton, 94 and ¾ years old, of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 in San Tan Valley, AZ. Mrs. Gorton, a registered nurse, a mother and a wife, was born in Goshen, NY on November 18, 1927. She is survived by her daughters, Eve Gnam of FL, Laurel Salveti of RI, Ellen Rich of AZ and Ann Cruver of AZ; her sons, Arn Gorton of AZ, Joel Gorton of NY and Evan Gorton of Japan; her sisters, Rachel Dzierzek of AZ and Linda Garloch of FL; her grandchildren, Sam, Jessie, Rita, Kyle, Chad, Cheryl, Richelle, Jenn, Seth, Ian, Johnathan, Oliver, Cole, August, and Elliot; and her great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Arlo, Omar, Kaimana, Wailani, Ethan, Dylan, Emma and Christopher. Irene is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ed Gorton.
A memorial service will be held on August 13, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home, located at 21809 S. Ellsworth Rd., Queen Creek, AZ 85142. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
