Joseph Earl Whitaker Senior, 81, went home to Heavenly Father Saturday, July 2, 2022, with family by his side in Queen Creek, Arizona. Joe was born on August 1, 1940, in Kilbourn, Louisiana to Luther Whitaker and Jennie Mae Brown.   He married the love of his life, Mildred Geddings on September 17, 1962.  They were sealed May 18, 1968 in the Bern, Switzerland temple.  Joe served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Master Sargent after 24 years of service.  He always enjoyed working on cars.  He owned multiple automotive businesses.  He inspired his children to be the best they could be in all aspects of their lives.   He is survived by his children:  William Kenneth (Bill), Joseph Jr., Robert, and Tammy. He is survived by his siblings Ray and Robert.  He is a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved serving everyone around him. They have 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Millie, his sons Gary and Buddy, and his siblings James, Mae and Bill.  Services will be held on Friday, July 8, at the chapel located on 32584 N. Gary Rd., San Tan Valley, AZ, 85144.  The family will greet friends for the viewing at 11:15 AM with services beginning at 12:00PM.  Burial will follow at San Tan Memorial Gardens at Schnepf Farms, 22425 E. Cloud Rd., Queen Creek, AZ, 85142.
