Michael Craig “Mojo” Modjeski

May 16, 1957 – February 26, 2022

Michael Craig Modjeski passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 suddenly.

Craig was born May 16, 1957 in Hammond, Indiana to Howard and D’Lores Modjeski.

Craig joined the Schaumburg Police Department in 1980 and retired as a Detective in 2009. Moved to Arizona to enjoy the warm weather. Craig had a great passion to always help others and had a big heart. Craig had a great sense of humor and loved to “build a watch” telling his stories. He would never pass up an opportunity to lend a hand to help anyone and made friends everywhere he went. He left an ever-lasting memory on everyone with who he came into contact with. As some have said “Mojo was a legend”. He will be forever in our hearts.

Craig is survived by wife Becky, son Matthew, step-children Jacob, Jacqueline and Haley Weingart, brother Mark (Sylvia) Modjeski, sister Marcelyn (Kevin) Johnson. Craig is proceeded in death by his parents Howard and D’Lores Modjeski, daughter Kelly Marie and brother Howard Modjeski II.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home. 21809 S Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek, Arizona 85142.

In Lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Craig’s son’s college fund.
