Rahea Margaret Herman, 20, of San Tan Valley, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.  She was born September 5, 1994 in Arizona.  She was a graduate of Poston Butte High School, Class of 2013.  She was currently enrolled at Gateway Community College, and aspired to become an Equine Veterinarian.  Rahea was an accomplished soccer and softball player.  She was part of 2012/2013 Girls Varsity Softball Team as a senior at Poston Butte High School, and actively played in a number of traveling teams throughout the valley from a young age.  She was currently a member of the Gateway Gecko’s Women’s Soccer League at Gateway Community College. Rahea is survived by her mother, Penny Herman of San Tan Valley; her father, Bill Herman of Phoenix; her two sisters, Bascia and Braidin Herman of San Tan Valley; her young nephew, Jameson Scofield.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Marge Hodges, also of Arizona and Mozelle and George Herman of Colorado.  Funeral arrangements are being held at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home in Queen Creek.  Calling hours were Friday, March 6, 2015 from 5-8 pm for family and friends to express their memories and life experience they had with Rahea.  A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Queen Creek.  The family invited friends and family to continue to celebrate Rahea’s life as they gathered at Meadow Vista Clubhouse, North Meadow Vista Drive, San Tan Valley, AZ 85140, immediately following her funeral service on Saturday.  Rahea was a vibrant young woman, who brightened life wherever she went.
