Ronal Lee Adams (known as Ron to everyone) was born on November 9th, 1940 in Portageville, MO and passed away December 19th, 2019 in Queen Creek, AZ at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Sue Adams; his daughter, Lisa Adams; son, Michael Adams; grandchildren, Cara Roth and husband Carl Roth (great-grandchildren, Caiden, Cammy, and Courtlyn), Devin Forman, Alyssa Adams and Chasity Sosa; nieces, Dianne Crittendon and Tammy Spencer; and nephew, Ray Adams.

As a child, Ron played baseball and other sports. He loved to be outside. He met his wife Sue in St. Louis in 1956 and they were wed in August of 1959. They later decided to raise their family in Arizona and moved out west in September of 1969.

Ron had a passion for welding. He decided to turn that passion into a career and started a small welding shop, FutureWeld Co. Inc., which later turned into a 30 year-old aerospace operation. When retiring at 62, he shifted his focus to spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren. Between trips to Rocky Point and Show Low, he kept busy. He loved to ride quads on the beach and up in the mountains.

Ron was a great storyteller and loved spending time with those around him. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, golfing and hunting. One of his favorite things to do was take his grandchildren to the movies. He loved having his great-grandchildren around and was very active with them. He was an avid Arizona Cardinals fan and took pleasure in watching the Diamondbacks, Coyotes and Nascar as well.

If you were in the same room, you were a friend to Ron. He loved his family and friends more than anything in this world. Although his body no longer remains here, his spirit will live on through the countless hearts he touched over the past 79 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 26th, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Hawkins Residence. All are welcome to join us in celebrating his memory. Please call or text message Cara Roth for details on location, 480-299-5963.
