Marilyn Sue Thomas Obituary

Marilyn Sue Thomas went to be with the Lord just before 9 pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.   She was born June 26, 1937 at her home in rural Pittsburg, Kansas to Joe and Susie Azamber (deceased).  She is survived by her husband of 60+ years, Robert H. (Bob) Thomas of the home; children, Brenda Jo (John) Dantico of Florence, AZ, Kathy Sue (Douglas) Stadt also of Florence, and Tracy Ann (Douglas) Griggs of Strongsville, OH; her sister, Joyce Marie Welsh of Hominy, OK; her grandchildren, Justin D. (Jillian) Stadt, Lindsay M. Griggs, Amy E. (Nicholas) Bracken and Emily C. Griggs; her great-granddaughter Aurora Lynn Stadt; and many loved nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home of Queen Creek, AZ. David A. Pixley Obituary

David Pixley, 89, passed away in Queen Creek, Arizona on March 21, 2017. David was born on July 9, 1927, in Fulton, NY. He grew up in West Cummington, MA, graduating from Pittsfield (MA) High School in 1946. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1948, and served six years as an instructor in aircraft electrical systems. In 1957 he went to work for Mohawk Airlines, in Ithaca, NY. It was there that he met his wife, Jean Ballardini. They were married on October 12, 1957. They soon transferred to Rome, NY, where they lived for many years. David retired from US Air in the late 1980’s and moved to the Phoenix, AZ area, where he was a regular volunteer with the Mesa Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. In 2007, they moved back to Rome, where he spent a large part of his time building wooden ship models and radio controlled aircraft. After his wife passed away in 2011, David moved back to Arizona, where he spent the remainder of his years working on models and doing crossword puzzles. He is predeceased by his wife, Jean; one brother, Stephen; and a sister, Marilyn. He is survived by a brother, Calvin, of Westfield, MA; his children, Marshall, of Malone, NY; Marilyn, of Round Rock, TX; Martin, of West Cummington, MA; Marie, of Little Falls, NY; Mark, of Ewa Beach, HI; and David, Jr., of Queen Creek, AZ; as well as 10 grandchildren and 11...

Alex H. Gross

Alex Hargis Gross, 80, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at 9:00pm at his home in Queen Creek, Arizona. Alex was born on March 4, 1937 to Thomas Hendrix and Laura Bell Gross in Jackson, KY. Alex enlisted in the US Air Force when he was 18 years old. He met his beautiful bride, Manee Pakinumhong, during his service while stationed in Thailand during the Vietman War. Alex and Manee were married on May 6, 1974 in Udornthani, Thailand. Alex served his country in the US Air Force for 21 years and retired in 1974 as a MSGT. Alex’s passions in life were first and foremost his family, then sports and fishing. He was also an avid animal lover.  Alex is survived by his wife, Manee Gross; son, Hendrix (Luke) Gross; son Robert Gross; daughter in law; Belinda Gross; grandchildren, Ashlie & Mark Talbot, Jaidon and Quinton Gross; great-grandchildren, Mark and Jack Talbot; sister Cora Senter, brother in law Dennis Senter and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.   Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 3/21/2017 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024 at 10:30 am. ...
