Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery provides services and memorial gardens to people of a variety of beliefs and faiths. Our grounds are divided into twelve gardens with elevated lawn crypts. They are as follows:
In our cemetery, the Garden of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints offers the many options – from upright memorials, companion crypts, benches, bronze cremorials, to flat memorials.
The following detailed descriptions will help you envision your options in our gardens and cemetery:
Family Estates
Family estate areas allow family members to have a shared resting place. These are often bordered with special landscaping or architectural features. Family estates are a great way to preserve family heritage and maintain a historical place for future generations to visit. Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery recently developed the open center section directly in front of our main building for Family Estates.
Upright Memorials
Upright memorials have long been considered a prestigious and personal form of memorialization. Upright headstone probably originated in European and American Colonial burial grounds and evolved to resemble modern day ones. Another common upright marker is the obelisk-style gravestone, which first appeared in ancient Egypt. These memorials come in many different materials – from granite to marble, cement and more. Sizes can be as simple or elaborate as you choose.
Flat Memorials
Ground level or flat memorial or markers have been the standard for hundreds of years. They are most usually made of bronze and placed on granite. We regularly update options and opportunities available within our cemetery.
