Mary Louise Hicks Clausen, age 86, of Queen Creek, AZ, died April 23, 2015 in Gilbert, AZ at Lund Home.
She was born April 2, 1929 in Phoenix, the eldest daughter of Colbert B. and Josephine Hicks. Mary Louise graduated from North Phoenix High School and attended the University of Arizona where she was a member of Phi Beta Pi.
On March 11, 1954, she married Robert L. Clausen and raised three children. She was active in community efforts, coached swim teams and enjoyed travel and many activities with her family. Hers was a life well lived.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Robert Sr.; daughter, Virginia (Ginger) Goering of Medicine Lodge, KS; and sons, Robert L. Clausen Jr. and Eric L. Clausen, both of Queen Creek. Additionally, she leaves behind six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and caregiver Kim, all who will miss her influence in their lives. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Hicks, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 28 at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home in Queen Creek, with burial to follow at Greenwood/Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix.
