Robert Douglass Joss, born October 15, 1937 in Seattle, Washington, passed from this life into Glory on April 7, 2016, in Gilbert, Arizona.
Bob lived most of his life in the Seattle area, graduated from Lincoln High School and the University of Washington. He retired from Sears after 22 years of faithful service.
In 2005, he and his wife joined SOWER’s, a group of Christian RVers to serve the Lord, laboring at Christian camps, schools, and homes for challenged adults.
When his health began to fail, the home and RV were sold and they moved to San Tan Valley to be close to family and the sunshine.
Bob is survived by his wife MaryLou and four sons: Douglass and his wife Donna in Marysville, Washington; David and his wife Ellen in Olympia, Washington; Daniel and his wife Robin in Williamsburg, Virginia; Donald and his wife Shelli in San Tan Valley, Arizona; Ten grandchildren; a brother Donald in Renton, Washington; a sister Mary Evans in Georgia.
Memorials may be made to Americare Hospice, 1212 N. Spencer, Mesa, AZ 85203
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 2:00pm at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home. 21809 S. Ellsworth Rd., Queen Creek, AZ 85142.
