Barbara Tyler, 71, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away on May 27th, 2016 after battling from ovarian cancer for almost 5 years. Barbara was a devoted wife for 48 years, a loving mother and an amazing grandmother.
Barb graduated High School in 1962 and worked as a secretary while taking care of her younger siblings after her parents were gone.
Barbara was a member of Holy Cross Church. She enjoyed volunteering at Sunny Acres Children’s Home and Banner Gateway Hospital. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved playing and spending time with her grandchildren and most importantly making people laugh.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert Tyler; son, David Tyler and his wife Jodi; daughter, Jenny Myers and her husband Ben; sister, Janet Grenfell; nephew, Jason Grenfell; brother, W. Thomas Grenfell; and grandsons, Brendan, Jon, and Sam.
Services will be held at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home on June 3rd, 2016 at 9:30AM, 21809 S. Ellsworth Rd. #101, Queen Creek, AZ 85142.
My friendship with Barbara and Bob goes back to 1967. Wached thier family grow shared many a meal, laughs, tears, and vacations. Barb was my confiden, partner in crime, she knew where the bodies are buried. She made the best macronie salid. I know she will be waiting for me in heaven and know where all the best Itilian eateries are. Seep in peace my wonderful friend.
She was a gentle soul with a kind and loving heart. You will always be in our hearts. We love you and will miss you very much. Rest in peace Barb.
