Larry David Evans Sr. (74) passed away on September 10, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ. He was the  husband of Shirley Evans for over 49 years. In 1985 this young couple decided to leave Utah and bring their 5 children to Arizona where they and their children have been very happy and successful, including their last son, who was born in Arizona, to make a total of 6 children.

Born in Salt Lake City, UT, Larry was the son of Ivan Bolin, Sr. and Leda Selma Evans. He was employed as a mechanic until he retired. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his strength, listening to his scanners and drinking Coke. He will also be remembered for the strength and work ethic he helped instill in each of his children.

Larry is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, Larry Evans Jr, Cory Evans, Misty Whipple, Jared Evans (Lisa), Dustin Evans, Austin Evans (Naryssa); his fur baby, Layla Evans (AKA Cujo); his grandkids, Ashley, Nathan, Tyler, Autumn and Emily; his great-granddaughter, Kinsley; and all his grand fur babies. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ivan, Phil and Bob, and by his sister, Bessie. The family will be holding a private memorial.

    Dad I miss you so much already! I hope you are watching over all of us an know how much you are loved! I wish I could give you one more hug, one more 1.380 to pay for coming and visiting lol! You will always be in my heart.

    I am sorry to hear of the passing of my uncle Larry he was the favorite uncle when we were young I family got together for everything. My dad spent many years wishing his little brother would come home but he and Aunt Shirley were happier in Arizona . Did he hold on and give one of his boys the old 55 nomad? Well God bless you he and my dad looked the most alike and did thing alike my dad had a wonderfully personality also so I know you will miss him dearly sorry for your loss and sorry so late.
