Russell Newsome, known to family as Russell the Muscle or Russ, was called to Heaven March 6th, 2018. Taken at only 18 years old, it was extremely unexpected. Russell resided in San Tan Valley, Arizona with his wife Aaliyah and daughter Rosalie Newsome. He was loved by many and loved many as he had such a kind and caring heart. Russell was born in Framingham, MA on August 12, 1999 to Robert Newsome and Debora Conners. Growing up, Russell loved traveling and was always the life of the room with his one of a kind personality and laugh. At 16, Russell, his mother and Aaliyah moved to Winter Harbor, ME where he discovered his love for lobster fishing. Russell and Aaliyah moved back to Arizona in 2016 when they were pregnant with their daughter, born November 2016. Russell was the youngest of three boys and had always spoke of wanting a younger brother and sister, which he always said he found in his wife’s younger siblings. They married May 30, 2017. Russell was an amazing husband and father. Russell lives on through his mother Debora, father Chris, older brothers Christopher and Tristan, brother-in-law Isaiah, sister-in-law Mercedes, wife Aaliyah, daughter Rosalie, and soon-to-be-born son Leon.
Services will be held at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, 2018. Family will greet friends for a visitation at 12:30pm, followed by a memorial service at 1:30pm.
RIP RUSSELL THE MUSCLE! You will forever live on three your babies!! Love ya kid
My condolences to all who love and lost a great young man.
He lives on via memories we carry of different times in his young life……
A fine young boy ( Summer, 2014 .)
As memories of him come to mind, they are accompanied with warm smiles.
My Bella loved him, and he her. Young love is beautiful and innocent. I had the pleasure of knowing him , he was kind and funny , most of all very respectful.
Rest In Peace.
Though short lived, in such an unexpected tragedy you were so wise for your age bro. In many ways you were such an old soul who would do anything for anyone. I, even as your older brother, looked up to you for the way you always kept your head held high displaying such a positive attitude despite all the hardships and bullish** you have endured throughout your journey here with us. I lost a piece of me when I lost you Russ, but you will always be here with me…. in my mind, my soul and especially my heart…. You left this world and it crushed us all forever, but you left us with two precious angels, my niece and nephew Rosalie and Leon. I promise to always be there for them and no matter what and I mean NO MATTER WHAT Uncle Chris will be there to count on. I love you Russ, we love you,…I feel your presence til this day with subtle signs that you’re watching over me and it brings comfort to my life in ways I will never be able to put into words….. My best friend, my buddy, my brother you will forever be missed! Until we meet again….I LOVE YOU xoxoxo
WOW. I didn’t know Russell or anybody else in his family, as a matter of fact I just came across this piece while looking for something else, but I decided to read it and I must say that this sounds like one of the worst tragedies that could ever happen to anybody.
And to read what a wonderful person that Russ was and the immeasurable love and respect that everyone had for him, I actually grieve with you and don’t really know what else to say other than I am SO sorry for your loss.
Me and Russell went to elementary and middle school together, and I came across this looking up someone my old peers. He was always there for a laugh, and was always nice to everyone. May he rest in peace.
