Karen Lee Bohnet

August 16, 1958 – November 7, 2019

On November 7, 2019, Karen Lee (Poulk) Bohnet passed away peacefully at home in San Tan Valley, Arizona. She is survived by her husband, Grant Bohnet, as well as their son, two stepdaughters, eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, three of her five siblings, a brother-in-law, their families, and many treasured friends.

Born in Denver, CO, Karen moved to central British Columbia in her teens. It was there that Karen met Grant and began a love story that spanned 40 years. She and Grant lived in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Washington State, New Mexico and Arizona. They both loved the outdoors, bird watching, canoeing and travelling, which took them on many cherished journeys throughout the U.S. and Canada. Karen devoted her adult life to her family, a career as a Registered Nurse, and playing and writing music on her antique pump organ and pianos.

Karen’s life ended far too soon. We haven’t begun to fathom life without her hugs, smile, and enduring words of love and encouragement.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Song of Life United Methodist Church, 20164 S. Sossaman Rd., Queen Creek, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to any Scleroderma Society.
