Thomas John (Tom) Wowianko Jr. went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2020 at the age of 55. He was at home, surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing. He was born on February 23, 1965 in Jackson, Michigan.
Tom was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Rick Tompkins. He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Laurie Wowianko and three children, Lucas, Ryan and Katelyn. He is also survived by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Veronica (Jean) Wowianko of Jackson, MI, and his mother-in-law, Ruth Nelson of Queen Creek, AZ. Tom leaves behind three brothers, Richard, David (Tisha Maddison), and Andrew (Tisha Johnson), and sister-in-law Arlene Tompkins. Tom is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Tom is formerly of Jackson, Michigan, and moved to Arizona 15 years ago with his company, Pearson Learning. Tom bravely fought cancer for a year and a half, during which he continued working for the majority of that time. He made numerous close friends at a job he maintained for more than 29 years.
Tom loved Fantasy Football, and flew to Michigan every year for the draft. He also enjoyed golf. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.
Viewing for Tom will be at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home, 21809 S, Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek on Thursday December 17th from 3pm-6pm. Burial will be in Jackson, Michigan following a Catholic Mass.
