With deepest sorrow, we announce that our beloved daughter, Lilly Abigail Ketchum, age 12, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 following a car accident after a family trip to the Grand Canyon. Her sudden flight to Heaven has been hard for all who knew her.

Lilly will be missed every day by her Daddy, Robert Ketchum, her Mommy, Holly, Besties Forever Sisters Layla and LucyKate, her Nana and Grandad, Jerry and Cindy, Grandma and Grandpa-Don, Maria and Don, her Grammie JanJan, her Papa Roger, her loving Nini, Unkey, and Unkey JC, Cousins and many, many great friends.

Those who knew Lilly, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

Lilly loved reading every book she could, eating Layla’s baking, and riding her new bike. She also enjoyed writing stories in her newspaper, drawing, and learning about Jesus. Her favorite Bible Story was Esther. She most loved playing Barbies with her sisters, going on Daddy Daughter Dates, and helping Mommy. She would love to talk on the phone with her best friend, Evie, too. She was super friendly, silly, spunky, beautiful and tenacious. Lilly could spend hours reading, playing and dancing. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior when she was 5 years old. She loved Jesus with all her heart and shined His Light for all to see. She had the joy of Jesus!

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Lilly was a wonderful big sister to her sisters who looked up to her in so many ways. She would read to them and they loved how she was their leader. We will always remember her running on ahead of us, never looking back. Hair flowing in the wind.

Lilly always wanted to run ahead, on a bike, at the beach, in the store. She has gone ahead again, and what a story she will tell when we see her again!

Our dearest Lilly, our precious gift from God, we cherished the time God gifted you to us. We LOVE and MISS you so much and look forward to that joyous day when we will be reunited in heaven to spend eternity with you!

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Starting with a viewing from 9-10am at San Tan Mountain View Funeral home, at 21809 S Ellsworth Rd, Queen Creek. Then between 10:30/11am a graveside service at San Tan Memorial Gardens, 22425 E Cloud Rd., Queen Creek. The family encourages all who knew Lilly to attend to share memories and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lilly can be made to Samaritans Purse. Lilly loved packing shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Psalms 61:2 – “From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth…but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, … For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
