Chris Lyn (Garrett) Lowder, 56, of Queen Creek, Arizona, passed away at home on September 26, 2024, surrounded by many loving family and friends.

Chris was born on June 21, 1968, in Indianapolis, IN, graduating from Perry Meridian High School in 1986.

Chris was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother.  Chris, with great kindness and love, enjoyed being with family, spending time with friends, and helping others.  Chris lived her best life.

In 1998, Chris met Steve in Indianapolis and married in 2001.  Chris and Steve have lived in Arizona since 2012.

Chris was preceded in death by her father and mother John and Joy Garrett, and brother-in-law Stephen.  Chris is survived by her husband Steve, son Jonathan (Ashley); grandchild Hudson; sisters, Cathy, Cindy, Caren (William), CeAnn (Richard), Mary (David); Leslie ; nieces and nephews Jennifer, Melissa (Nicole), Shelby (Nathan), Madelin, Lindsey (George), Thomas (Cynthia), Sarah (Bailey), Zachery, Matthew, Courtney (Dave), and Ian; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Chris’s passing is deeply felt by her entire family and friends and we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.  We will remember her strength and courage as she faced  health issues in her life from a young age.

The family sincerely appreciates your thoughts, support, and prayers during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to the American Kidney Fund, National Kidney Foundation, or Donate Life America to help fight kidney disease, a cause Chris felt strongly about to help others.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date in Phoenix, AZ and Indianapolis, IN.
