Gregory Wilson, age 71, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, after a debilitating illness, in his home in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Originally from Ohio, he came to Colorado in 1976 settling in Longmont. He dedicated his life to a career in technology encompassing time spent at Storage Tech, MSS Technologies, and, lastly, BI Inc where he retired as Vice President of Operations. Greg was known for his passion for learning new hobbies, including riding his motorcycles, house projects, developing an amazing vegetable garden, his joy for fireworks and legendary 4th of July parties, to the deep love and affection of his cats. He will be deeply missed by the many colleagues and the lifelong friendships he had during his life in Colorado. He is survived by his wife, Christine Wilson (of Longmont) and his 2 daughters: Morgan Wilson (Ryan Wicker) of Longmont, CO and Zoe Wilson (Clark Sperry) of Arvada, CO.  A celebration of his life will be decided by the family at a later date.

Greg and I worked together for many many years. Days, nights, weekends, we were together a lot. What a great friend and it was a privilege to know him. I have never met anyone like Greg and probably never will. He was a very unique person. My condolences to Christine, Morgan and Zoe. RIP my friend.

I worked with Greg while at MSS Tech, in 2006, early in my career. We spent time together while traveling to Choctaw Nation, in OK. Greg was a no- nonsense man, but was very kind and supportive of me while I began my career in consulting. My condolences to the family. Greg will be missed.

I am so very sorry about Greg’s passing, and wish you my most sincere condolences. He was a really great guy, and will be missed by so many. I regret not seeing him over the past many years, but have wonderful memories of enjoying his company during our old wine tasting days. The loss of his bright sparkle of life has made the world a little dimmer.

I was very privileged to work for Mr. Wilson for many years. He was an excellent boss, and mentor, and taught me so much. Greg was incredibly intelligent, intense and was indeed the smartest guy in the room, always. I especially enjoyed our conversations about ancient archeology, music, motorcycles and history. Greg made me think differently and seek to learn more. I have so much respect for him and wish I had a chance to say goodbye to him. He was truly a one of a kind-tough as nails, driven, loyal and all knowing.
