Dennis Weigle, 71, of San Tan Valley, AZ (formerly Dixon, IL), passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2nd.
Dennis was born on July 17th, 1954 to Melvin and Betty Weigle in Dixon. He married Pam (Bender) Weigle on May 29th, 1976. Together they raised a family, and built several successful businesses, including Weigle Automotive and Weigle Towing. Dennis was known for his incredible work ethic, often putting in 60+ hour work weeks. He would work extremely hard to make sure his customers were well taken care of. For many years, if you needed your transmission worked on, everyone knew to call Denny. He was known for always treating people right and was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back. His work and his businesses were a great source of pride for him. Dennis had an infectious, colorful personality.
From an early age he excelled with mechanics, becoming President of Industrial Cooperative Education in High School. From there he started down the path of building his businesses and family with Pam. Together they had two children, Kristi and Chad. Pam and Dennis were married for 50 years and shared a fun and passionate life. A life filled with Harley rides, vacations, and success. They enjoyed traveling, including regular trips to Hayward, Wi and Jamaica.
Dennis made sure that anyone close to him had a good time with his practical jokes, his engaging sense of humor, and his charismatic nature. All things that made him a memorable man. His candid responses were never in short supply and often included four letter words!
Dennis was a member of Elks and Briar Knoll Hunting and Fishing Club for many years. He was also a long-time member of the NRA. He also enjoyed restoring many cars, including his ’71 Buick GSX. He spent a great deal of his time helping others when they needed his expertise.
