In 1951, Albert M. Coury, Sr opened the gates of Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Driven to better serve his community throughout the emotionally taxing steps of arranging and having a funeral for a loved one, Albert added a funeral home and crematory in the center of the cemetery’s serene gardens. Our founder’s dedication, integrity, and compassion continue to be upheld by his son, Dan, and grandson, Greg, as they care for and grow the legacy.
Over time, the Coury family has been privileged to serve an expanding community. In 2012, San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home and Advanced Planning Center was established in the rapidly growing Queen Creek. The brand new building has a welcoming home-like feel, as well as a chapel, reception area, and plenty of parking. In 2014, we celebrated the re-opening of Superstition Cremation and Funeral Services. The building has been renovated to be calm and dignified, much like the Superstition Mountains after which it is named. Located on Old West Highway, this location features a modest chapel and a crematory. At any of our locations, you will be greeted by a compassionate member of our staff. Our Cemetery and Advanced Planning Specialists and Licensed Funeral Directors/Cremationists are trained to provide exceptional service. Soon we will also be able to offer the services of our newest member, Sam, a trained therapy dog.
We believe a sense of community should be held in high regards and try to support ours whenever possible. The Coury Family and staff are supporters of Kiwanis, Sunshine Acres Children’s Home, and Sharing Down Syndrome, to name a few.
The Coury family wishes to better serve others for many generations to come.
