Dan spent his career in computer technology. In 1989, Dan was ordained a Deacon and found his true calling. For the past 34 years, Deacon Dan has lovingly served in various Catholic/ Episcopal communities in Arizona and Utah. He also worked as a Hospice chaplain.
Ruth and I first met Dan in 1991, when he served at St Charles Borromeo Church in Peoria. We soon became friends, and a couple of years later, he wrote a letter of recommendation to the Phoenix Deacon Office for me to become a deacon. When I was ordained in 1996, he was there to vest me. We drifted apart when he and Betts moved to Utah, but kept in touch. We continued our friendship after they moved back to Arizona, and he and I were both serving in a hospice. I was very saddened by word that he had pasted, and Ruth and I both wish the best for Betts and her family as they have lost a great man.
