Donald A. Williams, died peacefully on March 24th, 2025 at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Arlene; three children, Jeff Williams (Debbie), Julie Williams Winkle (Dewey) and Donny Williams (Shannon); five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Tyler, Emily (Marenas), Michael and Brendan Williams; and three great-grandchildren.
The youngest of eight children, Don was born in Wyandotte, MI to George and Mary Williams. He graduated from St. Patrick’s High School and retired from Ford Motor Company. Don was a man of remarkable intellect, a tireless worker, and a devoted soul whose greatest passions of fishing, building computers, bowling, golf and spending time with his wife and family defined much of his life. Don and Arlene moved to San Tan Valley, AZ in 2020 to enjoy retirement.
A true engineer at heart, Don had an innate ability to understand complex systems and an unyielding curiosity about how things worked. Whether he was assembling a custom-built computer from scratch or troubleshooting an issue, his meticulous attention to detail and deep knowledge of technology were second to none. His hands, skilled in the art of both design and repair, transformed countless machines into powerful, finely tuned tools—always with the same patience and care that he applied to every aspect of his life.
In every facet of his life, Don exemplified hard work, dedication, and quiet brilliance. He approached every task, whether professional or personal, with a steadfast commitment to excellence, never seeking the spotlight but always leaving a lasting impact on those around him. His integrity and humility were pillars of his character, and those who knew him were often inspired by his unwavering work ethic.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and all of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of life and spreading of his ashes in Lake Michigan will be had with close family.
