We’ve not known Dwane Camp Sr for long or well, but judging by the quality of his son, whom we are honored to call a friend, he was unequivocally a great person and an even greater father. He leaves an indelible legacy, as testified by the deep mourning of his loved ones. Rest in peace. “His lord said to him ‘well done my good and faithful servant’”

  2. Laura Moore says:

Gone way too soon. You will be missed. My heartfelt admiration to Marietta for being a true soulmate and caregiver. To Jr. and Danyce, may you feel the love of your dad each and every day and cry happy tears. Mommy loves you!

  3. Maynard H. says:

I have known Dwane for 40yrs. Most of my adult life. Although we are not related he was like a brother who changed the course of my life. When I was deciding on where to begin my career after university, my cousin Linda introduced me to her beloved brother in law, who acted as an ambassador for the beauty and diversity of his beloved home city of San Francisco and the Bay Area. He became a life long friend, confidant, fellow basketball fan and car enthusiast. Our families remained close and celebrated many milestones together. I will miss him and will always be thankful for his friendship and good humor. My sincere condolences. Much love to the family.

  4. Delphine Metcalf-foster says:

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Dwane Sr. He is gone from this world but never forgotten for his kindness and love for others. Forever and always in our hearts ❤️ 🙏🏽

  5. Larry Marotta says:

I did not know Mr. Camp but I know his son Dwane, Jr. by his work helping seniors and people with disabilities through the California Alliance for Retired Americans (CARA). There is no greater gift to the world than to raise a child to become a man dedicated to benefiting others and easing the pain and suffering of millions of people. So, thank you Senior for your gift of Junior to this world. We are in your debt.

  6. Editha Adams says:

To my dear friend and sis, Marietta, and my beautiful nephew and niece, Dwane Jr and Danyce…I love you so much, and my heart aches for you all on the loss of your soulmate/Dad. Thank you so much for sharing Dwane’s familial care with me while he was here on Earth. You all are family to me, and I truly considered Dwane as not only my trusted friend, but my brother. To Dwane, my thoughtful, brilliant, kind friend and brother, thank you so much for all the love, friendship and support you had shown me for over 2 decades! I am so grateful you were part of my soul family on Earth. Thank you for being a light in my and all our lives here. You will be greatly missed, my friend.
