Eduardo Oliveria Serrano, 77, of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away on October 21, 2015 after a 7 ½ year battle with cancer. He was born on November 6, 1937 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Manila, Philippines, to Apolinario Serrano and Eligia Oliveria and graduated high school from Mapua Institute of Technology. Eduardo joined the US Navy in November, 1964 where he enjoyed a lengthy career until his retirement on July 1, 1988. He kept busy after retirement, working at Hawthorne Caterpillar for two years, as well as contributing 13 years of service with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
Eduardo is survived by his loving wife of 49 ½ years, Jane; his three sons, Edjan, Edjay, and Eujene; and six grandchildren, Adam, Haley, Ashley, Arron, Maika, and Kyla. He was a selfless and loving man who had a strong faith in God and a strong love for his family. He enjoyed family gatherings, gardening, watching movies and listening to music. Eduardo’s only regret was that he would not be here to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary. He will be dearly missed!
Family will greet friends on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00pm. On Wednesday, October 28 there will be an additional visitation at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Queen Creek at 9:00am, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00am.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to my dear aunt Jane and my closest cousins Edjay, Edjay and Eugene. I can’t believe our uncle Ed has passed. I still recall him driving the silver van from Oxnard, CA. He will be dearly missed. From one sailor to another, fair winds and following seas.
Sincerely, Merwyn Oliveria (CDR, USN) and Family
