Edward Charles Hood, 73, of Florence, AZ went to see Jesus March 15, 2021. He was born December 11, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Glenn and Clara (Haney) Hood. Ed was a man blessed with the Gift of Faith and the rock of our family. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth (Redmond) Hood, grandson Ronald II, sister Jayne Clark, brother Glenn Hood Jr. Edward is survived by his sons Ronald Hood of Circleville, Ohio; Charles (Michele) Hood of San Tan Valley, AZ; Michael Hood and daughter Cherish Hood both of Florence, AZ; grandchildren Farrah, Caitlin, Charles II, Anthony, Ellah, Sheridan, Luca, Edward, Benjamin, Judah, Quinne, Wesley, Grace, and great granddaughter Charlotte. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Ascend Church in Queen Creek, AZ. Burial will follow at San Tan Memorial Gardens.

I know how proud he was to have the Champion of the Heartbeat Bill for a son. He is now cheering you all on from the balcony of Heaven. Praying God’s ‘healing arms around you all and His comfort and strength until you see your dad and grandpa again.

Uncle Ed was my biggest supporter. He inspired me to be creative and do all work with excellence. I’m sure he is enjoying heaven’s choir now!
