It is with great sadness that the family of Jennie Osborn announce her passing on February 22, 2025. Jennie will be deeply missed by her loving husband Bob, her daughter Ali, her grandsons Jaylan (Kaitlin), Jacob, AJ, and her great-granddaughter Gianna. She was affectionately known to many as Gammy. Her grandchildren meant so much to her and brought her a lot of joy. She excelled at being a Gammy. Jennie was born on March 4, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, and was raised in Murray, Utah. She is survived by 7 sisters and 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Frank and Dora Velarde, brothers Rick, Manuel, Leo and Lawrence, and a sister Natalie. Jennie retired from GE Capital Financial in Salt Lake City and moved to Arizona to be closer to her grandsons. She enjoyed spending time with her boys, watching the Utah Jazz, and crocheting. Jennie will be remembered for her exceptional beauty and her love of red lipstick. While she will be terribly missed by those who love her, we are happy she is free from pain and on to her next adventure.  There will be a celebration held in her honor this summer in Utah, details to follow.  The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude for the love and care that Jennie received from the staff and nurses at Little Flowers Assited Living. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jennie’s memory to the American Alzheimer’s Association Donate to Alzheimer’s Disease Research

Bob and Ali, Thank you both for the opportunity to say goodby to my friend for over 50 years. Jennie had a warm soul and a kind generous heart and I will miss her laugh and sense of humor, I loved my friend and my heart goes out to you and your family 💙

    Dad,
Tim and I are sending our love & condolences. We loved Jennie and enjoyed her company. She had such a soft-spoken way about her that put others at ease. I especially appreciated her passion for red lipstick.
You are, and have been, in our prayers during this time.
As Jennie loved to make hand crocheted hats for little babies in hospital, a donation has been made in her memory to Madhatter Knits. This donation will help provide hats for a preemie baby in the NICU, giving them warmth and stability to support his or her journey home.
    With love,
    Doina

Revelation 21:4: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

  7. David Velarde says:

She was a very pretty girl and a lovely woman. We grew up together and attended grade school together. I only wish we could have stayed in contact later in life. She will be missed by her uncle David.
