Nova Jean (Hurtt) Baird was born in Mt. Hope, West Virginia, on August 11, 1936, and passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, in Gilbert, Arizona.  She is survived by her husband, of over 73 years, Charles W. Baird and her four sons, Charles Jr. (Janice), Dwayne (Judy), Scott (Cindy) and Fred (Karen), her fourteen grandchildren, and her 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  Nova raised four successful sons, helped raise two granddaughters and assisted daughters-in-law when babies were born. She worked part-time at fabric stores. She lived in West Virginia, California, Michigan and Arizona.  Nova was a skilled seamstress.  She made beautiful quilts and annually made dolls from scratch for ten granddaughters.  Nova will be remembered for her enduring love and her happy demeanor.  She will be buried in Queen Creek, Arizona.
