With a heavy heart, Peter Whitford Snyder passed away from stage 4 prostate cancer on May 2, 2018 at 8:58 P.M. his loving wife of 43 years, daughter and son by his side. He was an inspiration to all.

Peter graduated from Fresno State University.  He spent much of his career in the credit union industry and was an integral part of the credit union movement.  Peter served as a board member for many years.  He was also the chairman of NACUSO for several years.  He led the advisory board of both Investment Services and Insurance Services.  He gave his time generously and really enjoyed helping people succeed.

He loved coaching little league baseball and played hard ball baseball.  He cherished his baseball friends and always looked forward to the annual trip to Phoenix to play on The Men’s Senior Baseball League.

Peter always had an infectious smile that would light up the room when he walked in. He cherished his family and friends and loved his dogs dearly.  He was a very loving father, husband, brother, grandpa, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, daughter Christy; son, Jonathan; and grandsons, Brayden and Greyson.  His grandson Greyson always pointed to the American flag and said that it was Papa’s flag. Pete served in the Marine Corp and was a veteran.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 29, 2018 from 12-3pm at the Rocklin Event Center, 2650 Sunset Blvd Rocklin, CA 95677.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you go out and have a hamburger with extra mayonnaise and milkshake in honor of Peter.  That was his favorite meal.

For those who play baseball, his spirit will be there.

God bless Peter.
