Robert Jeffrey Lamboy – beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle – returned to the stars at the age of 51 on May 21st, 2023 after a valiant and tenacious journey to battle cancer.
Born in Japan on December 4, 1971, Jeff first landed at Tokyo’s Tachikawa Air Base and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from James Madison High School, where he excelled academically, competed in wrestling, and participated in band (including a high school jazz band), he went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Business Management from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Master’s of Marketing Communications and Public Relations from the University of Denver. At the time of his passing, Jeff was the Vice President of Global Marketing for tech giant KLDiscovery.
In 2002, Jeff met his perfect match in Katherine Clower, and by 2005, they declared their vows with Burning Love in a Las Vegas Elvis chapel. In 2009, their son Sloane came into their world and filled their hearts and home with joy, jokes, and countless curls.
Jeff was a car connoisseur and took to the open road in a variety of motorcycles, Jaguars, and more. A driver of the good life, Jeff found his Sunday morning jaunts to help in both tearing things up and settling his soul.
A gentle, deeply loving, generous, and all-heart human, Jeff is survived by Katherine and Sloane Lamboy, his mother Martha Lamboy, sister Jenny Lamboy (Eric Herr. spouse), and nieces Emilia Herr, Jordan Bonk, Taylor Meyer, Charli Marshall, nephew Michael Pore, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in California and Texas. It is our sincere hope that he and his late father Michael Lamboy are putting the pedal to the metal together wherever the universe has taken them.
Jeff was such a loving, kind & funny guy. Always had a smile for everyone. He will be greatly missed.
Jeff will forever be missed by many. He brought such an air of love, compassion and caring to our family. Love u Jeff.
I’m so saddend to hear of Jeff’s passing. He indeed was one of the nicest, most amazing people I have ever met. Growing up down the street he was the big brother to all on the Fawnwood Court. We all knew he loved to drive 🚗 and loved music. He was so generous to take care of his mom and say hi to the neighbors when ever he was at her house. My condolences to his wife Katherine and son Sloane So sorry that another good one from the block has gone to heaven way too soon. Lots of prayers to Martha, Jenny and Emma. Thank you Jeff for all rides around the block. R.I.P.
Our deepest condolences for you and your family. He was always so kind, giving and had a laugh to spare to make others smile. Sending love and hugs and prayers for you an Sloan, we will be here if you need us! May Jeff ride the skies with fast tires and watch over all of us with his kind heart..
You made Her Happy. You did good Jeff
Jeff was one of the most genuine, generous and positive people I have ever had the fortune of meeting, let alone being able to call a true friend. The times we spent talking about life (mostly cars, motorcycles and Formula 1) are memories I will treasure forever.
My love, thoughts and condolences go to Katherine, Sloane and all his family.
I met Jeff at a reception for a wedding and he was just the most positive and generous person; I liked him right away. I am so sad to hear of his passing because his joy was just that infectious and pure. I will try to reflect his joy (if he doesn’t mind) because the world needs more people like him, not less. I can only hope that everyone who knew him does the same. His wife, Katherine, is a beautiful soul and I pray for her to find healing and solace in the moments that are to come. Jeff, you are a gem.
