Rodolfo “Rudy” Ruiz, 51, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Arizona, passed away on December 12, 2024. Rudy was a spirited soul known for his enduring silly sense of humor.
Born on July 8, 1973, in Mesa, AZ, Rudy was a talented hairdresser who brought joy and style to his clients. As a compassionate advocate for senior rescue dogs, he gave love and care to animals who needed it most.
Rudy is survived by his husband, Dennis Seavers; his parents, Jesus and Virginia Ruiz; his brother, Richard Ruiz; his sister, Regina Brizuela; his parents-in-law, Larry and Kathy Seavers; and his brother-in-law, Danny Seavers. He was also deeply cherished by many close friends.
Rudy’s life was a testament to kindness, humor, and love. His legacy lives on in the laughter he shared and the lives he touched.
A memorial service to celebrate Rudy’s life will be held on Friday, December 27th, from 9:00am – 11:00am, at San Tan Mountain Funeral Home – 21809 S. Ellsworth Rd., Queen Creek, AZ 85142. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Rudy’s honor to a dog rescue organization of your choice.
Dennis and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I had never met Rudy in person, but I felt like I knew him from the joy he brought to your fb posts. Sending my love to you all.
Big hugs.
I always loved the moments he stole your phone and left you pics. Just joy incarnate- even though I didn’t know him personally- he made me feel as if i did. Candy and I are heartbroken for you. May his joy and love of life carry you always.
Dennis: the deep bond of love that you and Rudy shared was a shining beacon. I am so very sorry for this unimaginable loss.
What a beautiful wonderful spirit who gave so much to our world. My heartfelt condolences, love, and prayers are with all who miss him.
You will be miss my Queen Creek High buddy, I can still hear your laugh and see that smile from so many years ago. Holding all his family and friends close to my heart…
Dennis, so very sorry for your loss. Love and Prayers for Peace and Comfort
When somebody dies,
a cloud turns into an Angel
and flies up to tell God
to put another flower on a pillow.
A bird gives the message back to the world and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry.
People disappear,
but they never really go away.
The spirits up there put the Sun to bed, wake up the grass and spin the earth in dizzy circles.
Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the daytime
when they’re suppose to be sleeping.
They paint the rainbow and also the sunsets and make waves splash and tug at the tide.
They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes.
And when they sing wind songs, they whisper to us,
“Don’t miss me TOO MUCH…the view is NICE,
and I’M DOING JUST FINE.”
Someone so special can never be forgotten, may Rudy’s soul rest in peace. May your happy memories give you peace and comfort during this challenging time.
In the couple of years I’ve known Rudy, he’s had a massive impact on my journey in finding myself and my place within our community. Not only was he a very active participant in Stonewall Sports, Rudy was also one of the biggest fans and supporters of the kickball teams Dennis and I have been teammates on.
I’ll never forget you, Rudy. You will always have a special place in my heart and I’ll always see you cheering us on from the sidelines in life. My only regret in knowing you is not getting the chance to be on the same team together and never being able to call you teammate.
