Ronald (Ronn) Clark Haus of Rancho Mirage, CA, more recently of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away June 16 in Gilbert, AZ. Ronn was born in Elizabeth, NJ on June 24, 1942. He was the youngest of 7 children. After his high school graduation in 1960 he attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. It was there that he met the love of his life, Constance (Connie) Naomi Cass. They were married on September 23, 1961. At the time of Ronn’s passing they had been married 62 years. Ronn is survived by his wife, Connie, his four children~ Vonda Oropeza (BJ), RC, Scott (Jamie) and Sharon White (Jeff); and 13 grandchildren ~ Ronnie Haus (Cassie); Shara Photias (Devon); Gabe Montgomery; Malachi Haus; Joshua Montgomery; Christian Haus; Jesse Haus (Savannah); Savannah Haus, Lexi Friesen (Joshua); Raegan Haus; Gracie Haus; Roni White and Maddie White, and four great grandchildren: Valor & Kale’a Haus; Elijah Photias and Remi Haus. Ronn began preaching publicly at the age of 13 to youth groups, youth camps and in some churches. In the summer, after his first year of college, he traveled with a group called the Crusaders. Ronn played the piano and sang in the trio with Ted Terry and Arnold McLellan. Don Argue brought the message. After their second year of Bible school he and Connie also formed a group called the Evangelaires who traveled singing and preaching. While in Bible school he also was the pianist for the world wide radio program, Revivaltime, produced by the Assemblies of God denomination. After marriage they moved back to California where Ronn was Associate Pastor/Music Pastor/Youth Pastor in Carlsbad while also attending Vanguard University. Ronn was a builder. He loved taking something small or a dream yet unfilled and building it. His first pastorate was in Yucaipa, CA where he oversaw the building of a new church. From Yucaipa he moved the family to Vallejo, CA where another new church was built under his pastoral leadership. He also began traveling internationally with David DuPlessis who was known as Mr. Pentecost to many around the world. It was also there that his television ministry started as the church was given an entire cable station to program ~ as cable was in its infancy. While pastoring in Vallejo a man in the church gave him a clipping from the local newspaper that the FCC was granting a new television license to the city of Concord. Th e license was finally granted to a new corporation, Family Christian Television, the first Bay Area full power Christian television station broadcasting from the top of Mt. Diablo. Channel 42 covered the entire San Francisco Bay Area as well as much of the central valley and Northern California. He headed that ministry for approximately 13 years. Later he traveled as Associate Evangelist for the Benny Hinn Ministries. Following that he traveled along with his wife to various countries around the world preaching the gospel to thousands that Jesus is the only Savior and to eternal life in heaven. He was passionate about mentoring and encouraging young pastors. His greatest love was preaching the Word and loving his family. He was also an accomplished pianist who loved to worship at the piano. His family and nephews remembers his love for baseball. He would often coral the kids and convince them to play, yet they would end up retrieving the balls more than hitting them. He loved to exercise and often invited his kids and close friends to go with him for jogs. He also loved making up stories for the children and his grandchildren … most famous ones were stories of Twu Twu, Twee Twee and Twa Twa (birds!) and The Man in the Wall. We will never forget how Papa loved to sing his song about The Meatball on Top of Spaghetti… in fact it was sung around his bedside days before his passing. He loved sweets, especially his chocolate cake and cheesecake with extra raspberry sauce and whipping cream. His kids have fun memories of Saturday nights at the stock car races, cross-country vacations in the station wagon and traveling to the Bahamas for a trip of lifetime, also let’s not forget the Holy Land trip. For those reading this ~ Ronn would say, If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Savior, invite Him into your heart now to receive the gift of eternal life with Him and There is no one in the world that God loves anymore than He loves you! If you wish to send a memorial gift of any amount the family would like to suggest a ministry close to Ronn & Connie’s heart ~ a ministry to Pastors and Missionaries.
