This is the story of a Man of Honor. A man of a few words but his actions spoke volumes. Roy  was a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned several metals including two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and a National Defense Metal.   He served 21 years and 10 months  with distinction as Sargent First Class in Vietnam. He was revered by the men he lead. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army never left him and attributed to  the father and husband he later became.

He was first Married to Cynthia Miller and had 2 sons; Vincent and Edward. They were married 43 years. Roy lovingly took care of her in their home until she peacefully passed away in February,  2015.

Later he met and married Joyce Davidson in 2017. Between the two of them they had 11 children and several grand children and great grand children. He treated Joyce’s family as his own and they all loved him. Joyce lovingly took care of Roy in their home until his passing.

Roy was a collector of many things, coins and army memorabilia. He loved football season and was just gearing up for the 2019 season. He had the opportunity to watch the season opener of  “his team” The Ohio State Buckeyes  before his passing. Yes! They won! Now our beloved Roy  will have the best seat in the house!

We love you Roy! You will be dearly missed. God be with you till we meet again.
