Toni Jarvis

June 20, 1947 – November 5, 2024

Toni Jarvis, 77, of San Tan Valley, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024.

Born on June 20th, 1947, Toni was the 4th of 6 children of Russell and Ethel (Williams) Jarvis. The family resided in Chepachet, Rhode Island. Toni earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rhode Island in 1969. Toni married Harry Gilbert in 1970 and had two children, David and Michael. The couple lived in Somerset, WI.

Toni moved to Florida in 1993, where she continued her career as a computer analyst. In 2014, Toni retired and relocated to San Tan Valley, Arizona, to be closer to her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter.

Toni was preceded in death by her son, Michael Gilbert; her mother, Ethel Jarvis; her father, Russell Jarvis; sisters, Terryl Lace and Jerryl Jarvis, and her brother, Russell Jarvis.

She is survived by her son, David Gilbert; daughter-in-law, Ann Gilbert; granddaughter, Charity Gilbert; sister, Caryn Jarvis; brother, Bruce Jarvis, and sister-in-law, Elaine Jarvis.

In her youth, she enjoyed downhill skiing, snowmobiling with friends, and being on the lake.

Toni was an avid reader, gardener, and political junkie. She loved her cats. Toni also enjoyed playing slots at the casinos and traveling with family. She was always cracking jokes, loved a good game of cards, could talk to anyone anywhere, and loved helping those around her in any way she could.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday November 25, 2024.  The service will begin at 4:00pm at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery, 7900 E Main Street Mesa, AZ, 85207.
