John Thomas Peters, 71, of Mesa, AZ passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020. John was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Nov. 22, 1949, to Edward and Gertrude Peters. He resided in Milwaukee for over 30 years and graduated from Juneau High School in 1968 and served in the National Guard. He worked at Falk his entire career. He met the love of his life, Julie Peters, in 1979. They raised their family in Merton, WI and Big Bend, WI. John and Julie moved to Mesa, AZ in 2019 to enjoy retirement in the sun.

John lit up a room the minute he walked in it. He was one of the funniest people you had ever met. He was always full of jokes and tricks. He could get anyone to laugh. He was a sweet man with a heart of gold. If you needed help, he was there without question! He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, golfing, football and horse races to name a few. He was always doing something. John was a very talented, creative and handy man.

John is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ed Peters (Sandy). He is survived by his wife, Julie Peters and his children Terry Shipman and Amy Draskovich (Bo) and his brother Ron Peters (Chris). He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Tanner James, Bo Devon, Matthew John and Brooke RaeAnn.

So sad to hear the news of John’s passing, our family extends our sympathy to yours. Some of the great memories I have of John , are when the cousins got together at grandma Peter’s, house on Sundays. we use to play hide and seek , while our parents visited and always looked forward to the treats grandma made. Many times our families enjoyed vacation time together at the lake cottage, those were some fun times, swimming and just being together,I have thought of these things many times. Memories help get us through hard times, hoping all your memories of your dear loved one , comfort your hearts , until you meet again. May God bless you, with the comfort only he can give. Blessings!
