Cemetery Classic Car Show

cemeteryCalling all classic car enthusiasts! Following on the heels of the famous Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson car show, Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery will feature an upcoming auto event. Unique and colorful cars will be part of the Charity Cruise-In Auto Show on the cemetery grounds.

Sponsored by the Order of the Amaranth of Arizona, the event will feature food and vendors. The show will take place Saturday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on the beautiful grounds of the Mountain View Cemetery, located at 7900 E. Main St., in Mesa. In addition to showcasing a variety of flashy classic, cruise-in, and exotic cars, the event will benefit diabetes research.

Car shows have been a fan favorite for years. Young and old alike enjoy looking at cars from years gone by and dreaming about cars of the future. More and more, car enthusiasts are picking up the hobby of repairing and/or rebuilding older cars. Some even take their love of rebuilding to the next level and open a service garage. A love of cars can begin at any age. And Arizona’s numerous and exciting car shows are a great place to start.

Arizona is home to some pretty high-profile car shows. The Barrett Jackson-auction draws car enthusiasts from around the world, paying high dollar for some very impressive cars. Other notable state car shows include:

  • Hot Rods & Harleys. Taking a look at motorcycles and cars alike, this is a fun show on Feb. 28 in Phoenix.
  • The Tucson Classic Car Show. This year’s show is October 17, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Gregory School in Tucson.
  • Other shows to check into include the Motoring thru Time Show, the Flagstaff Charity Car Show, and the Thunder in the Desert Car Show.

Although our show may not be on the same scale as Barrett-Jackson, there will still be plenty of amazing cars to see! For more information on the Cruise-In Auto Show at the Mountain View Cemetery, contact R.D. Fields at (480) 709-8803 or Dan Hinkson at (480) 463-3482.  We hope to see you there!
