Our beloved son, Alex Brandon Goerdt, 22, died on October 6th at Banner Ironwood Hospital. Alex was born at Sierra Vista Community Hospital on December 19th, 1992. He lived in Bisbee, AZ for 15 years where he attended school through 8th grade.
Alex moved to San Tan Valley in 2007 and graduated from Florence High School in 2011. He attended Central AZ College where he studied Business and Computer Science. Alex loved playing baseball and soccer and was in the National Honor Society.
He is survived by his father, Glen Goerdt of Tucson; his mother, Marcia Goerdt of San Tan Valley; sister, Alyssa (Ernie) Rimer and nieces Veronika and Layla Rimer, all of Murray, UT; as well as many aunts and uncles: Inez (Richard) Bartlett, Eileen Hesselmann, Jean (Charles) Cecil, Leon Goerdt, Dr. Earl (Carol) Goerdt DVM, Alan (Lori Poock) Goerdt, Russell Goerdt, Jerry (Cherie) Cech, and Sharla (Morris) Schwartz.
Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Shirley Cech and Al and Harriet Goerdt.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015, at St. Francis Cemetery in Dyersville, Iowa. Rev. Jeffrey Dole will officiate.
