Alex Hargis Gross, 80, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at 9:00pm at his home in Queen Creek, Arizona. Alex was born on March 4, 1937 to Thomas Hendrix and Laura Bell Gross in Jackson, KY. Alex enlisted in the US Air Force when he was 18 years old. He met his beautiful bride, Manee Pakinumhong, during his service while stationed in Thailand during the Vietman War. Alex and Manee were married on May 6, 1974 in Udornthani, Thailand. Alex served his country in the US Air Force for 21 years and retired in 1974 as a MSGT. Alex’s passions in life were first and foremost his family, then sports and fishing. He was also an avid animal lover.  Alex is survived by his wife, Manee Gross; son, Hendrix (Luke) Gross; son Robert Gross; daughter in law; Belinda Gross; grandchildren, Ashlie & Mark Talbot, Jaidon and Quinton Gross; great-grandchildren, Mark and Jack Talbot; sister Cora Senter, brother in law Dennis Senter and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 3/21/2017 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024 at 10:30 am.
