Bettie Sellars was born on May 1, 1932 in Platte City, Missouri to Walter and Alta Mae Ruark. She passed away April 27, 2025 in Queen Creek, AZ.
Bettie was raised in Missouri until her marriage to Everett A. Hendrickson on December 3, 1948 in her family home in St. Joseph, MO.
She came from a very musical family learning to play the piano and guitar at a young age. She had a tender heart and wrote scores of poems and songs throughout her life.
Bettie and Everett had three children; Virginia Maxine, Dale Everett, and Joan Juanita. They moved to southern CA in the latter part of the 1950’s. Soon after they began attending church and committed their lives to Christ. Everett died in 1978.
In 1984, Bettie married Floyd Sellars of Dearborn, Missouri. They had known each other well as children as their families were close friends. Bettie and Floyd faithfully attended church and desired to live life centered on God and His Word. They lived in Missouri until 2013 when they ventured to Washington state. Sadly in December 2024 Floyd died.
Our greatest tribute to Mom is that she was an example of living a life based on God’s Word and His principles.
