Bill Allen Bates, 71, of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away on September 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife of 51 years and their two children. Bill was born on February 18, 1951, in Kansas City, MO. He loved to talk, and could talk your ear off about Jesus, his family, football, and music.

Bill loved his wife and children, and adored his grandkids. He was a hard worker his entire life, which led his family across the country, calling several states home. Along the way he formed many lasting friendships that became family. Bill served the Lord through church leadership, music, small group Bible studies, Awanas, VBS and volunteering with the local elementary school.

Bill’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Darlene, son Jim Bates, daughter Lori (Dan) Kartman, and grandchildren; Joslyn Bates, Evan, Avery and Brynn Kartman as well as many family and friends.

A service celebrating his life will be held at Central Christian Church; 22505 E Ocotillo Road, Queen Creek, AZ 85142 on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 1:00pm, with chips and salsa after.
