Bonnie Kathleen Bernal Kepler was born January 8, 1942, in Superior, Arizona, and passed away peacefully in her home in Queen Creek, Arizona, on Friday, August 28, surrounded by the memories of a life devoted to family and those she loved.

 

She was the beloved daughter of Arthur and Kathleen Bernal and grew up alongside her brothers and sisters, Pete Bernal, Arthur Bernal, Kriss DesRochers, Paul Bernal, Mary Bernal, and Pat Bernal. The bonds of family remained an important part of her life throughout the years.

 

Bonnie’s life began in the small Arizona mining town of Superior and carried her through more than eight decades filled with family, perseverance, laughter, heartache, and love. Through every season of her life, she remained connected to the people who mattered most to her.

 

Bonnie married John Kepler, with whom she built a life and raised their five children: Kathleen, John, Paul, Michael, and Tony. Together, they created a family that would become her greatest legacy. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, who passed away in 1994.

 

Above all, Bonnie was a devoted mother. Her children were the center of her life, and the love, strength, guidance, and traditions she gave them will continue through generations of her family.

 

She was also a cherished grandmother to Andee, Drew, Garrett, and Tate. Her grandchildren brought tremendous joy to her life, and the memories they shared with their grandmother will remain with them always.

 

Although saying goodbye is difficult, there is comfort in knowing that the love Bonnie gave during her lifetime does not end with her passing. It continues in her children, her grandchildren, her family, and in every memory shared by those fortunate enough to have known her.

 

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12th, at our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 2121 South Rural Rd., Tempe. Viewing will be from 11am – 12pm, Catholic mass from 12pm – 1pm.
