Brian Rance Braye, 70 of San Tan Valley Arizona, died April 28, 2016 at home due to complication from cancer.

He was born January 11, 1946 in Hillsboro IL. The son of Floyd and Virginia Braye. He served in the Air Force from 1964-1968, and enjoyed a long career in photography, as both a photographer and educator.

Brian had lots of interests in clouding photography, astronomy, caving, and boomerangs. He was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he had many callings including that of Bishop.  He was also very active in his community.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and a kind and patient heart.  He helped anyone in any way he could, even after being diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatments.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Braye, his daughter Brandy Davis and her husband Donnie, his grandchildren, Aidan and Willow Davis, his sister Sheryl Bandy and lots of extended family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 6 until 8 pm in  the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints chapel 2559 E Combs Rd San Tan Valley AZ.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 10 am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints chapel 2559 E Combs Rd San Tan Valley AZ, preceding a 9 am viewing.

Graveside Service will begin at 2pm Tuesday, May 3, 2016 where Brian will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa Az., where military Honors will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
