Passed in Peace at the age of  78 years old on March 17, 2022, in Mesa, Arizona. Charles Leon Owens was Born on April 27, 1943. Charlie was happily married to his childhood sweetheart, Wanda Kay Owens, before her passing in 2007.

Charlie was a proud military man and happily served as a decoder at the age of 18. He loved all the traveling that he did through the military as well as living in Thailand while serving his country. Soon after his military service was completed, he moved from Arizona to Oklahoma to raise his family. He was a devout Mormon and served multiple roles within his church. Charlie tried to live as an example of his gospel by always helping others even at the expense of his own. Charlie loved his family unconditionally until his last days. He lived a full and warm life, filled with joy. Charlie will be fondly remembered and sorely be missed.

Charlie is survived by his sons, Charles Jo-Ellis Owens, David Chandler Owens; his daughters, Wanda Kay Shepherd, Janet Owens, Casey Nunez and daughter-in-law, Maria Paulette Owens. Along with Charlie’s seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
