Dana Eugene Bird, 63, of Florence, Arizona went home to be with His Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 27, 2021 in Florence, Arizona. Dana was born in Long Beach, California to Frank and Dorothy Bird, and graduated from Nogales High School. He married the love of his life, Michelle on July 16, 1983 and together they raised two amazing men, Jeremie and Jacob. Dana drove truck for many years, and also worked for himself in the real estate industry for many years. He passed that love on to his son, Jeremie. Dana led by example and taught his family to work hard, to never give up, and to most importantly, love the Lord with all their heart. Dana enjoyed spending time with his wife and family and especially enjoyed dancing to music with his granddaughter Ella. He loved spending time with his boys, talking to them about life. He was very grateful for the 3.5 years he got to have with his sweet granddaughter Ella.  It brought him great joy to spend time with her. Dana enjoyed talking about his love for America, traveling, being on the ocean and lakes, going to the driving range, reading books, and listening to music- loudly. Dana loved a challenge and knew how to work hard. He was known for his big infectious smile, sense of humor, striking up conversations with random people to talk about the Lord, being a giver, and doing anything for his family.  He was a great husband, father, father-in law, grandfather, brother, & friend. He will be missed greatly by his family and many others. We find peace in knowing that he is in the arms of Jesus, whole and celebrating being in the presence of His Lord. Dana was preceded in death by his father and mother Frank & Dorothy as well as his sister Carla. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle; son, Jeremie (Katie), and granddaughter Ella; son, Jacob; and brothers and sister, Jack, Denny, Vickie, and Bobby. Memorial service to be held, Saturday June 12th 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Summit Church, 1801 E 29th Ave, Spokane, WA, 99203. Flowers are always welcome or if you prefer donations can be sent to PO BOX 1017, Veradale, WA, 99037. Flowers can be sent to 6204 E 10th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA, 99212.
