Danny “Dan” Joe Schobelock, of San Tan Valley, AZ, passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2025, at the age of 77, due to complications with Alzheimer’s. Dan was born in Ohio on June 11, 1947, to the late Ruth (Springer) and Joseph Schobelock.
Dan is survived by his two amazing daughters and son in laws that he considered his own, Danyel and Jim LaValle and Tory and Jacob Burns; eight loving grandchildren, Alexa, Sebastian, Samantha, Savannah, Paige, Lexi, Reuben and David; three wonderful great grandbabies with another one arriving any day; and one warm hearted sister, Cheryl Beatty (Randy). Dan is preceded in death by his best friend and soul mate in every life, Jackie.
Many knew Dan as “Schobe” and he embraced that nickname proudly. Dan was a resilient and inspiring mentor to many that he crossed paths with in both his personal and professional life. He took an early liking to the world of technology and engineering and moved to Silicon Valley right after marrying the love of his life in June of 1968. They honeymooned in California for the next fifty plus years. Dan exercised his outstanding work ethic with every position he held at Lockheed Martin, Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. Dan enjoyed fishing, camping, classic rock music, drinking beer and laughing with his loving family.
He will be missed by many, but the family has found comfort in knowing that Schobe and Jackson are back together again. To honor Dan’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held at his home. For those near and far, the next time you have a dark beer, a jack and coke, or a VO and water, give Dan a little toast and know that you probably brought a smile to his face or received his signature tongue out expression.
