Donald Duane Jones, age 59, of Queen Creek, Arizona, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022.

He was born June 18, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Everett and Sarah (Hodges) Jones. He married Connie and they shared 28 years together.

Donny was a hard worker and loved his family dearly.  He was an avid sports man, whether it was watching, coaching, or playing, he loved it all. His favorite teams to watch were the Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, and of course any team his son played on. He supported each and every one of his children in all things. He had a tender heart and his three daughters had him wrapped around their finger. Donny was a friend to all, he didn’t know a stranger. Donny was a faithful Christian who loved God and spent much of his time sharing the love of Jesus with children while teaching Children’s Church. He loved his family with all his heart, but his grandchildren were the light of his world. We often say, Donny’s favorite people call him Papa.

Donny is survived by his wife: Connie Jones; children: Matthew (Julia) Jones, Kristen (Eric) Turner, Sarah Jones, Samantha Jones; brothers: Denny (Annette) Jones, Daryl (Rachelle) Jones, David (Kevin) Jones; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren: Easton Jones, Mila Jones, and Crue Turner

He is preceded in death by his parents: Everett and Sarah Jones; brother Danny Jones.

A visitation will be 4pm until 7pm on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home. A celebration of life with be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 from noon until 8pm at his son, Matthew (Julia) Jones’ home.
