Donna Sue Simone, 67, of Show Low, AZ, formerly of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away on July 7, 2016 at her home. Donna was born on January 26, 1949 in Fort Stockton, TX to parents Lee Roy and Evah Jane Robertson Woods.

Donna is survived by 3 sisters, Janette Andrew of Bay Town , TX, Patsy Dunn of Bronte, TX, and Linda “Susie” Stewart of San Angelo, TX; two brothers, William ”Hoppy” Woods of Anchorage AK and Michael Woods of Chandler AZ; three children, Teresa (Chris) Ippolito of Gilbert AZ, Lori (Lee) Baker of San Angelo, TX, and Michael Woods of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Christa and Kayla Ippolito of Gilbert, AZ, Clayton Ronk of San Jose, CA, Megan Ronk of Midland TX, Chase and Mackenzie Ronk of San Angelo TX, as well as additional extended family.

Donna is preceded in death by, her husband Rim Simone; parents, Ray and Jane Woods; and siblings, Ida May Woods, Nancy “Nan” Andrew, and Curtis Woods.

During her many years of being married to Rim Simone she learned from him of running Empire Fruit Company, and after his passing she took over the company and became a business woman. These years are where she picked up her love of farming and gardening. After her retirement she carried her love of gardening to Show Low, Arizona at her mountain home, and began learning and building her own garden. She surrounded herself with every vegetable from A-Z and flowers and berry bushes and fruit trees. Her garden was her greatest love, next to her family. We loved her deeply and we will miss her terribly.

A funeral service will be held for Donna on Wednesday, July 13 at 6:00pm, with a time of sharing to follow, at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home, 21809 S. Ellsworth Rd., Queen Creek, AZ 85142 Ph. 480-888-2682 www.santanmountainviewfuneralhome.com
