Edgardo “Eddie” Rozul Aure, Jr., age 62, passed away peacefully in his home on October 3, 2025, after bravely battling stage IV lung cancer since May 20, 2024.

Eddie was born on January 18, 1963, in Olongapo, Philippines, to Amelia “Mely” and the late Edgardo Aure. He grew up in the Bay Area of California alongside his three sisters and two brothers.

On January 3, 1983, Eddie enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving for nine years as an Information Management Specialist. His assignments took him to Zweibrücken, Germany, and Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Throughout his service, he received multiple achievement and commendation awards recognizing his dedication and excellence.

After his honorable separation from the Air Force, Eddie began a new chapter working with Century Martial Arts before embarking on a long and successful career with UPS Logistics. He raised his children in Sparks, Nevada, where his love for family, hard work, and creativity shone through in all he did. In 2011, he relocated to Arizona, where he spent his later years surrounded by loved ones.

Eddie was a man of many passions. Known in the Hot Wheels community for his intricate custom designs under the name Micheddie Customs, he amassed an impressive collection of more than 7,000 cars. He was also an avid golfer who could often be found on the course every weekend, competing in tournaments as far away as the Philippines—where he proudly brought home a first-place championship.

To those who knew him, Eddie will forever be remembered for his incredible cooking—especially his famous lumpia—and his knack for creating delicious, one-of-a-kind dishes that brought people together. His love for family, humor, generosity, and creativity left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Edgardo Aure, Sr., and his sister, Marylynn Aure. He is survived by his loving mother, Amelia “Mely” Aure; sisters Annie Gainous and Arlynn Aure; brothers Dean Aure and Glenn Aure; and many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Eddie. He is also survived by his beloved children: daughter Ashleigh McDonnell and her husband Marc, daughter Alexis Adamcik, and son Andrew Aure. He was a proud grandfather to Karleigh (17), Seth (14), Everett (7), and Waylon (3), who were the light of his life.

A celebration of Eddie’s life with military honors will be held at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home in Queen Creek, Arizona, on Friday, October 17, 2025. The viewing will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by the service at 4:00 p.m. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at a later date.

For those wishing to honor Eddie’s memory, the family welcomes flowers for the service at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home. If you prefer, monetary donations to help with memorial expenses can be made directly to the family with love and appreciation.

Eddie’s strength, humor, and love will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.

I love you, dad- there aren’t enough words that could describe your life and everything you’ve lived for and accomplished. I miss you more than I could ever imagine. I am trying to be resilient like you. Until we meet again… Ash

I am so sorry for your loss and I know that he is celebrating his new home with those who went on before him. Eddie was a fantastic cook and when Asleigh was born Ed cooked for my mom, me and my two boys when we visited in Oklahoma. I loved his Philippine dishes and made one or two of course they didn’t turn out like his! Ed and my then husband, myself and my sister (his then wife) were in St Louis making sure that Ed and his family goton the plane to Germany. We stayed all night in St. Louis and we were all partying in a hotel room. I’ll never forget Ed on top of the dresser in the room doing the Pee Wee Herman dance!! We had a great time. Ed was always up for fun.

  3. Connell Gainous says:

Excellent Ash. Spot on. You captured who our Ed truly was. Thank you. Like Ed; you And the family are deeply loved. Never forget that.

  4. Lisa Means says:

You gave me the most precious gift, our daughter. I’ll remember your love of dancing, too. (You taught me to cha-cha) lol you will be remember as a fighter, a wonderful father, master grandpa and friend. I’m thankful Joe and I were able to have a friendship with you. I don’t do “goodbyes”. See ya later…we will meet again in heaven. Until then, I’m sure you will be watching over your kids and grandkids and all their accomplishments with a smile.

  5. Michelle Aure says:

For 20 years we walked side by side and from that time came the greatest blessings of all – our children. They carry so much of you within them and that will never fade.
We’ve shared many great memories and I will hold those close to my heart.
Thank you for the life we shared, for the family we created and for all the moments that made us who we are today. I will always love you, our children and our life together. Forever, Michelle
